It was a beer drinking contest, guess what, they won.
Sveinung Björköy from Oslo, Norway won the worlds! Brian Keich, Pennsylvania, USA came second and our local hero Luca Mara, Stockholm, Sweden placed third!

The infamous tattoos will be created by the artists at Illuminata Stigmata.

Single Speed World Championships 2006
Well... Its time again, its a new year, its a new location and its a new race.
But it's still the Single Speed World Championship with beer, fun, trails, beer, drunken revelry, rides, beer and onegear-riders from all around the globe meeting and having a blasting good time. We bet that you will want to be here... And we bet that you will never forget the riding here...
And about the party, well you will probably forget a bit of that if you like drinkin beer and partying hard... But thats okay, becuase thats whats it all about...
And here is Stockholm the capital of Sweden. A really nice bike friendly town with a lot of awesome singletrack located nearby and longer trails not much farther away.
We allso have a really nice homebase location of the race called Street. Street is a bar/eventplace/gallery for streetart, contemporary design and art, and all other forms of modern cultural activities in a big city. And it will be the hub for the race, where we meet, hang in the bar, meet all the new faces, where we hook up guided rides to the trails and where we consume our cold postride beers in the evning sun at the waterfront, sounds nice doesnt it...
The race weekend will be Friday 18 to Sunday 20 of August, with the race on Saturday the 19 of August. So put the mark in calender, lube your chain and start saving your beer money... We want your mug and singlespeed here! Welcome!!!
